from Georgia, Patrick has served churches in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, and now Kentucky.  He is married to Sara Rudolph DeVane and has two amazing kids, Piper and Andy.  Patrick earned his Bachelors Degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and his Masters of Divinity (2005) and Doctor of Ministry (2015) degrees from McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta.  In his free time, Patrick loves to read, play board games, and cheer for the Atlanta Braves.

Tim Schindler (timschindler@georgetownbaptist.org) is the Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship and has been at GBC since November 2006, currently also providing leadership in contemporary worship. Tim grew up in Pikeville, Kentucky and is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky and earned his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2002. He started in church ministry in 1997 and has served Kentucky congregations in Falmouth, Versailles, and Somerset. Tim and his wife, Amy, have four children. Follow him on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @timschindler.

When it comes to youth ministry, Pastor Tim continues to affirm that it is not the church’s ministry to young people; instead, youth ministry is empowering students to change their world. Because of this, he heavily emphasizes service and missions, and unapologetically believes that if a student goes on a mission trip with an open heart, it will change their life forever. Thanks to so many wonderful and caring adult volunteers, Tim has been able to be in youth ministry for the long haul. If you are a student or parent of a teenager, I hope you will take the time to check out Georgetown Baptist Church’s youth ministry.
