Alan Redditt (alanredditt@georgetownbaptist.org) has been the Senior Pastor of GBC since June 1, 2009.   He and his wife, Megan, are the proud parents of two little girls.  After growing up in Georgetown, he served churches in Georgia, South Carolina, and Louisiana before returning home.  He also spent three years as a hospital chaplain in New Orleans.  Alan studied at Georgetown College, McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University, and Duke Divinity School.

Alan loves to build bridges.  You will often find him attempting to strengthen relationships so we can serve our neighbors most effectively.  He has challenged GBC to think strategically about how we serve in our ministry context of downtown Georgetown and beyond.  In addition to his preaching and teaching ministry, Alan coordinates our pastoral care coverage and helps lead Live Embers, our senior adult ministry.  He invests significantly in our college ministry, including our many interns from Georgetown College and other local universities.  Find Alan via social media on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Tim Schindler (timschindler@georgetownbaptist.org) is the Associate Pastor of Youth and Ministry Development and has been at GBC since November 2006, currently also providing leadership in contemporary worship and children’s ministry. Tim grew up in Pikeville, Kentucky and is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky and earned his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2002. He started in church ministry in 1997 and has served Kentucky congregations in Falmouth, Versailles, and Somerset. Tim and his wife, Amy, have four children. Follow him on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @timschindler.

When it comes to youth ministry, Pastor Tim continues to affirm that it is not the church’s ministry to young people; instead, youth ministry is empowering students to change their world. Because of this, he heavily emphasizes service and missions, and unapologetically believes that if a student goes on a mission trip with an open heart, it will change their life forever. Thanks to so many wonderful and caring adult volunteers, Tim has been able to be in youth ministry for the long haul. If you are a student or parent of a teenager, I hope you will take the time to check out Georgetown Baptist Church’s youth ministry.

NOTE:  GBC is currently seeking to fill another full time ministry position with primary responsibilities for children’s ministry.
