Our Pastors

 Our Senior Pastor....
                               Alan Redditt...
     

is the son of Dr. Paul and Bonnie Redditt. Alan grew up in Georgetown, where he attended Faith Baptist Church and graduated from Scott County High School and Georgetown College (2000). He is married to the former Megan Williams of Paducah, KY. Megan is also a graduate of Georgetown College and has a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. 

     During college, Alan became affirmed that God was leading him into Christian ministry. After graduating, he furthered his ministry education at two graduate schools. He obtained his Master of Divinity at McAfee School of Theology (2003) and later his Master of Theology at Duke University Divinity School (2006). Most recently, Alan has completed his Clinical Pastoral Education training and is a Board Certified Chaplain recognized by the Association of Professional Chaplains (2009). Over the last decade, he has held numerous ministry positions that make him an ideal candidate for our historic 200 year old Baptist Church in downtown Georgetown. Along with the most recent full-time Senior Pastor Interim position in Louisiana, Alan has served as Assistant Pastor of First Baptist Church, Covington, GA; Minister of Spiritual Growth and Member Involvement, First Baptist Church, Conway, SC; full-time Senior Pastor Interim at First Baptist Church, Conway, SC; Chaplain Resident of Psychiatric Care, East Jefferson General Hospital, Metairie, LA; and Staff Chaplain, Oncology Services and Palliative Care at EJGH. He is not only a gifted pulpiteer and churchman, but he also has extensive skills in ministry leadership, biblical study, denominational service and pastoral care.

Our Associate Pastor of Education and Outreach... 
          Richard Weekley...
is a 1972 graduate of The University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Education .  He received the Master of Divinity degree from  Southern  Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1988.               

Richard has served as an Associate Pastor at the Westside-Portland Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky and as the Youth Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Greenville, Kentucky. Richard is married to Claire R. Weekley. They have three daughters, Christina W. Watford, Allyn W. Harding, and Sara W. Wilson, three ganddaughters,   Anna and Lia Watford; Lilly-anne Wilson and two grandsons Luke C. and Ethan G. Harding.

Our Associate Pastor of Youth and Ministry Development... 
                  Tim Schindler...
   
grew up in Pikeville, Kentucky. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Philosophy and Classics.  He received his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky in 2002.

Tim has been in ministry for 9 years, serving Kentucky congregations in Falmouth (Turner Ridge Baptist), Versailles (Hillsboro Baptist) and Somerset (First Christian). He is married to Amy Schindler, with two sons, Ben and Will, and a daughter, Kate. He enjoys playing guitar, tossing Frisbee, snowskiing and listening to podcasts.
